Dunno much about Adeje but the Vulcano at the other end of Playa de Las Americas might fit the bill.Quieter area, almost next door to posh bars and desgnier shops, food excellent. You may be the only people under 60 in the whole hotel but if that doesn't bother you, and if you can get in then I highly recommend it.If not the Vulcano, definitely take a look at that area of PdlA as it fits the bill in terms of being quieter yet within walking distance of the main strip but with lots of local amenities.
